What are Hero League and Team League?
Hero League and Team League are competitive game modes in Heroes of the Storm. At the start of each season, players play 10 placement matches which will allocate you to a League tier and division (e.g. bronze, silver, gold, etc.). From here, players can move up or down in tiers and divisions based on ranked points gained or lost through winning/losing matches. Hero League allows you and a friend with similar rank to queue together, while Team League is designed for pre-made groups of five players. Additional information about both modes is available here: http://us.battle.net/heroes/en/game/ranked-play/
How do I connect with other Heroes of the Storm players through the website?
Clicking ‘Find Friend’ at the top of the screen takes you to a listing of other players who have registered on the website. Drop-down navigation menus allow you to filter and customise your results to show active players, account experience level, or user-ratings that have been left by other members of the community.
How do I connect once I’ve found somebody I want to play with?
Once you’ve found somebody you want to connect and play with, you can view their player profile by clicking their username. From here you can click the ‘Add as Friend’ button, which will display their Battle.net BattleTag. Copy and paste this into your Battle.net desktop application as a friend request through the social menu and wait for them to accept. You can also leave other players messages on their public Message Board, which they will be notified about the next time they sign-in to the site.
What is the Admire option, and what does it do?
Admiring another player gives them a virtual thumbs-up. Receiving kudos from your fellow Heroes of the Storm players also helps raise your popularity rank on the site.
